Uninstalling Squore

Windows

Squore Server, can be removed from your system via the Apps > Apps & features panel in Windows settings, where two options are available:

  • Modify, that will allow you to specify which <SQUORE_DATA> folders you want to remove/keep.

  • Uninstall, that will directly uninstall the product but keep the <SQUORE_DATA> folders.

When choosing Modify, the un-installation wizard will guide you through the below screens:

  1. Click the Next button to go to the next screen:

  2. Choose which <SQUORE_DATA> folders you want to remove from your machine:

    By default, only the <SQUORE_DATA>\temp folder is removed. Select the others if you want to completely remove Squore data from your machine.

    Click Next, then Remove on the confirmation screen to proceed with the removal of the software and the selected data.

    This operation cannot be interrupted or rolled-back.

  3. The wizard will notify you when the uninstallation finishes, as shown below:

    Click Finish to exit the wizard.

Linux

There is no uninstallation script for Squore Server on Linux. In order to completely remove Squore Server from your system:

  1. Ensure that Squore Server is completely stopped by running:

    cd <SQUORE_HOME>/bin/sqctl stop
  2. Delete the folders where Squore Server generated data:

    • The database cluster

    • The projects folder

    • The temp folder

    • The sources folder

    • The workspace folder

      You can identify these locations by looking at <SQUORE_HOME>/config.xml, as described in Understanding the config.xml file.

  3. Delete <SQUORE_HOME> (i.e.: the folder containing config.xml and the Squore binaries).
